Exploring What Makes the 2019 Ford Fusion so Spectacular
Design
The exterior of the 2019 Ford Fusion features smooth, gliding contour lines that wrap around the body of the car to give it a sensual look. The Fusion’s chrome mesh titanium grille and updated headlight fog lamps give it an undeniably confident presence on the road.
Inside, the 2019 Ford Fusion provides drivers with the assurance that any ride they take will be a delight. Available with cooled driver and passenger seats, as well as a heated steering wheel, the interior of the Fusion was clearly designed with comfort in mind.
Convenience was also a key factor in the design of the 2019 Fusion’s interior, as evidenced by the placement of the rotary gear shift dial which opens up room for both cupholders and cargo space. For those who want to feel the open road as they roar down it, Ford’s kept you in mind by making a power moonroof available.
Performance
Whether drivers are looking for power, efficiency, or both, one of the 2019 Ford Fusion’s five trims is sure to help you meet your needs. There are three EcoBoost® engines that come available: a 1.5L, 2.0L, or 2.7L with the V6 Sport. The horsepower offered by the Fusion ranges from 175 on lower-end engines, all the way up to 325 on the 2.7L V6 sport. All three engines combine turbocharging, direct injection, twin independent variable cam timing, paddle shifters, and piston cooling jets to increase performance, efficiency, and durability.
The 2019 Ford Fusion also flexes its ecofriendliness with two available trims: the Ford Fusion Energi and the Ford Fusion Hybrid. The Ford Fusion Energi is a plug-in hybrid which allows drivers to switch between gas, electric, or hybrid power. It delivers an estimated 610 miles of smooth driving on a full tank of gas. Meanwhile, the 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid is still capable of providing impressive performance capabilities. Its hybrid engine delivers up to 188 horsepower and an estimated fuel efficiency of 42 combined mpg.

The 2019 Ford F-250 is the heavy-duty muscle you need on a rugged job site or hauling your camper up to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. In addition to a lasting tradition of truck excellence and Ford legacy, there are many defining factors that make the F-250 a true leader of the pack. Read our overview and you’ll understand why the 2019 F-250 won the AutoWeb Buyer’s Choice Best Heavy-Duty Truck award.
2019 Ford F-250 Highlights
Aluminum Construction
Ford pickups of the past were built with steel bodies, but the F-250, like the F-150, is now constructed with high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy. There are several key advantages to aluminum:
- The weight saved was reinvested in stronger axles, steering and chassis components.
- It is more dent-and-ding resistant.
- It’s not subject to red rust corrosion.
Pair these features with a high-strength steel frame and this truck is ready for Super Duty payload and towing capabilities with a lower center of gravity for better handling.
The Built Ford Tough Super Duty
Hauling or towing, the Super Duty has all the horsepower and torque you need day in, day out. Super Duty offers two engine and transmission options. For peak torque at a lower RPM, the 6.2L Flex-Fuel Gas V8 is an excellent choice. For the stamina of a powerful diesel, the 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel V8 gives you 450 horsepower and 935 lb.-ft. of torque. The diesel uses a 6-speed automatic transmission and can be configured with rear-wheel or 4-wheel drive.
Smart Details
You’ll work smarter while your truck works harder — just how we like it. These are just a few of the optional features available on any Super Duty, from the XL to the top limited model:
- BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Tow
- Up to 7 available cameras, including Trailer Reserve Guidance
- LED Box lighting to finish the job after the sun goes down
- Class-exclusive remote tailgate release and tailgate assist
- SYNC® 3 to connect and control your smartphone and optional navigation

Choosing Between Car Leasing and Financing
If you’re interested in driving around in a new Ford, you have a lot to think about. Of course, you need to consider which make and model marks off all the boxes on your checklist. But once you’ve found the car of your dreams, how will you pay for it?
Let’s take a look at the differences between leasing and financing.
Should You Lease?
Leasing a vehicle essentially means that you’re renting it. Leases are generally for a period of three years and provide plenty of financial benefits.
Much like financing, leasing requires monthly payments. However, because the lease is only for a shorter period, and you won’t be paying for the entire price of the car, your monthly payments will generally be lower.
Lower monthly payments not only save you money, but they can allow you to expand your search to vehicles that would be too expensive if you tried to finance them. Having a more affordable monthly payment will allow you to look at the latest models with the most exciting features.
Leasing also provides a special peace of mind. Because you only have the car for the first three years, the vehicle will be much less likely to need a major repair. Some lease plans even include regular maintenance for the length of the lease.
Lastly, when your lease is up, in most cases, you can still choose to buy the vehicle outright.
Or Should You Finance?
Financing an automobile is a more traditional method, but still offers a lot to like. First and foremost, when you finance, you’re on your way to owning the vehicle. After you’ve finished paying it off, you won’t have anymore monthly car payments. This is a big plus.
When financing, you don’t have to worry about limitations. Many leases come with terms and stipulations that you have to adhere to, but financing means you can drive it off of the lot and use it as you see fit.
Finally, financing means you’ll eventually own the vehicle. When it’s time for a new one, you can trade your old one in or sell it yourself to bring some exact cash to the table.

4 Winter Driving Tips You’ll Want to Keep in Mind
Driving during the winter season is a much different experience than at any other time of the year. There are several precautionary steps you’ll want to take to ensure that you and your passengers arrive at your destinations safely and with confidence. See a few of them below.
Winter Driving Tips
Give yourself time
If the weather and roads are less than ideal, it’s a good idea to give yourself extra time. Moving slowly and carefully on highways, city streets, and backroads will allow you to keep a safe distance from the vehicle ahead of you and safely traverse through any accumulating precipitation.
By putting more space between you and the car ahead of you, you’ll give your vehicle more room to come to a stop, which it will need when the roads are slick.
Be proactive
With the weather capable of hindering your visibility and creating hazardous road conditions, being ready for anything while driving is of greater importance during the winter. When you’re behind the wheel of your car, truck, or SUV, it’s best to be seated upright with both hands on the wheel. In this position, you’ll be able to stay alert and proactive when faced with changing weather conditions and vehicles slowing down or making tough turns.
Know your car
Whether you’ve been driving for years or are new to winter driving, knowing how your vehicle handles in all kinds of weather is helpful. Regardless if you drive a sedan, SUV, or pickup truck, having the skills to handle the weather and knowledge of your vehicle’s strengths will make it a lot easier to arrive at your destination.
Apply gentle pressure
Using the accelerator and brake pedal gently will go a long way in keeping you moving forward. When the light turns green, steadily applying the gas pedal allows the tires to grip the road. Pressing the pedal down too quickly can cause the tires to spin out.
When you need to slow down, removing your foot from the gas pedal will help the vehicle decelerate naturally. You can also apply the brake slowly to help bring the car to a safe, controlled stop.

If you’re at the jobsite long after the sun goes down, you can use the available LED box lights to view your work materials with ease.
Smart Features
Whether you’re driving the truck to work or you’re towing a large payload behind the vehicle, staying safe is paramount. That’s why the Ford F-150 comes with a variety of available driver-assistance features to protect you against the unexpected.
The Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) monitors the sides of the truck and notifies you to the presence of a vehicle in your blind spot with a light on the side-view mirrors. You can also confidently move the F-150 in tight spots, thanks to the 360° Camera with Split-View Display. This feature uses four cameras to create a composite view on the center stack screen of the truck’s surroundings.

Winter can wreak havoc on your vehicle thanks to cold temperatures, salted roads, snow, and ice. And not properly preparing your car for the season can shave years off its life and make driving more dangerous.
Get your car ready for winter by adhering to these five winter car service tips.
5 Car Maintenance Tips for Winter Driving
Replace your wiper blades
Wiper blades have to work even harder in the winter months when frost, sleet, and snow do battle with your windshield. Swap out your wiper blades at the beginning of each winter season with a fresh set of Motorcraft® wiper blades to ensure you can see clearly in challenging conditions.
Park indoors
If possible, keep your car parked in a garage during periods of cold weather to protect the battery. If you do not have a garage, start your car on any day that you are not using it and allow the engine to idle for a minute or two. You can also consider using a Covercraft car cover to protect the body of your car from the elements.
Use thinner oil
Cold weather causes oil to thicken, and when it does, it can restrict its flow to vital parts of the engine. There are thinner “winter-grade” oils that can be used to provide better lubrication throughout the engine.
Use gas line antifreeze
Severe cold can cause the gas line in your tank to freeze, preventing the car from starting. Adding some gas line antifreeze to your tank before filling up can protect the gas line from freezing. Some gas stations, especially in colder climates, already add antifreeze to their gas during winter, so be sure to ask if you aren’t sure!
Install snow tires
Less of a maintenance measure and more of a safety precaution, keeping a set of snow tires on hand and putting them on each winter can greatly increase your traction on snow and ice while reducing stopping distance.

You’ve probably heard the saying, “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” The same can be said for the Ford Motor Company.
If you’re interested in how modern Ford dealerships came to be, the history behind the company itself is a must-read. We’ve got a brief rundown for you right here.
How the Ford Motor Company Came to Be
Henry Ford is a household name — as it should be. He built one of the most successful automobile manufacturing companies in the United States and, perhaps, the world.
Ford’s first vehicle was built seven years before the Ford Motor Company became incorporated. What was known as the quadricycle was built in 1896. It utilized four bicycle wheels and had a four-horsepower engine. Instead of a steering wheel, there was a tiller, so there was quite a difference in style from future vehicle designs, especially the ones we see on the road today.
In 1899, Henry Ford joined a group of men who founded the Detroit Automobile Company, but he left within a year and began developing a new vehicle called the Sweepstakes. It boasted 27-horsepower and, in 1901, Ford used it to beat Alexander Winston, the top race car driver of that time.
Two years later, the Ford Motor Company was founded, and one year after that, the first international plant was built in Windsor, Canada.
The Ford Model T, the Assembly Line, and the Ford Model TT
In 1908, Ford’s Model T was introduced to the public. Stylish, affordable, and durable, the Model T became one of the best-selling vehicles of all time.
Henry Ford continued to innovate, developing and implementing the integrated moving assembly line for automobile production in 1913. This was huge for the company as well as consumers because it aided in production and also lowered the price of the Model T.
To meet the demand for a larger, tougher vehicle, Ford introduced the Model TT, the first pickup truck, in 1917. It was similar to the Model T, but boasted a reinforced rear axle and chassis. In the same year, construction began on the River Rouge Complex, which is still in use today.
The Ford Motor Company Today
Throughout the years, Ford has continued to push the envelope, producing a multitude of vehicles that meets the needs of most consumers.
In 2003, the company celebrated its 100th anniversary. A year later, the Ford GT was introduced as the company’s premium sports car.
In 2007, the hands-free, voice-activated SYNC system was integrated into each vehicle the company offered, and in 2009, Ford began offering its signature EcoBoost® engines.
Today, the Ford Motor Company continues to thrive, adapting and innovating to constantly offer the best vehicles on the road. Stop by the Stearns Ford dealership in Burlington to take a test drive and speak with our friendly sales staff.
As a Ford owner, you know a thing or two about loyalty. You’re dedicated to your tried and true Ford car, truck, or SUV, so you want to give it the best care possible.
