Designed much like the Ford Escape, the 2018 EcoSport is a slimmed down SUV. The design is sleek, bold, and has plenty of contours with a distinct Ford style. And despite being a compact SUV, the 2018 EcoSport offers plenty of interior space for you and up to five passengers.
It features Ford’s Standard Cargo Management System with adjustable rear load floor and shelf, and available cargo net and organizers. The rear hatch opens sideways rather than upwards to accommodate the vehicle’s sturdy, protective frame. Need more room for cargo? The Escape has you covered with 60/40 fold-flat rear seats, glove box shelving, and multiple storage pockets.
Power and Performance
Choose from two EcoBoost-driven powertrain options to give you practicality or a burst in performance. All models come standard with a six-speed automatic transmission, Auto Start-Stop Technology, and AWD capability — but they differ under the hood from one powertrain to the next.
The S and SE models incorporate a turbocharged and direct-injected 1.0L EcoBoost three-cylinder powertrain with a front-wheel drive and up to 123 horsepower, while the SES and Titanium trims feature a 2.0L EcoBoost naturally aspirated engine with Ford’s Intelligent 4WD system and up to 143 horsepower.
Technology and Features
Convenience and safety go hand-in-hand with the 2018 Ford EcoSport. For navigation and infotainment, expect an available 8-inch “floating” touchscreen display, with voice-recognition based Sync® 3 software. You’ll get Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ integration, as well as Wi-Fi® connection for up to 10 devices simultaneously. Other available technology features include:
