Ford Announces Complimentary Service for Owners of Select Explorers

You may have heard some news lately about problems with 2011-2017 model year Ford Explorers, so we'd like to take a moment and clear the air. Ford says that vehicles purchased from dealers are perfectly safe, with their investigation not showing any carbon monoxide levels that exceed typical daily exposure.

It's important to point out that the problems reported on in the news are related to Police Interceptor Utilities, and occurred as a result of holes that were left unsealed after third party vendors installed police equipment -- and well after the vehicles were purchased from Ford.

That said, Ford wants to reassure their customers. That's why they've established a complimentary service plan for private owners of Ford Explorer within the years mentioned. Just bring your vehicle, no matter what the mileage or warranty status, to our Service Center between November 1, 2017 and December 31, 2018. Our factory-trained technicians will perform this service, which consists of replacing the liftgate drain valve, reprogramming the air conditioner and inspecting the sealing at the rear of the vehicle, to offer you peace of mind driving.
