Ford's 2018 Mustang GT: Zero to 60 MPH in Four Seconds

Zero to 60 MPH in four seconds. Think about that for a moment and consider how rare it is to find something you can do in less than four seconds. Opening a can of soda? Answering your phone? Pushing the button to turn on your car? It's not a long list. When you drive a 2018 Ford Mustang GT however, zero to 60 in four seconds is what you get.

How does it get there? The Mustang GT has a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine. Rated for 460 horsepower, it can also produce 420 pounds-feet of torque and 7,500 RPM.

It also has a unique "Drag Strip" mode that capitalizes on all of these. Helping the car maintain its torque while it shifts gears, Drag Strip mode makes it possible for the GT to accelerate faster. In fact, this new mode is directly responsible for its impressive four second sprint.
